It’s A New Day at Berlin Congregational UCC!!!

It is the days after Easter and it’s time for new life at Berlin Congregational UCC!

As I write that, it occurs to me that there’s nothing particularly wrong with the old life at Berlin Congregational. That is, we need a “mighty cloud of witnesses” to be a part of the new life Christ brings. We are not getting rid of anybody, but we are adding some things around here.

On Easter, we officially welcomed Lolita “Lolly” Bolin to our membership.

Also, on Easter, it became official. Mary Lou Woods is our permanent Director of Music Ministries!

Near the end of this month, we try once again to have a youth ministry where teens can have a safe place to be themselves. The youth that I have already met are incredibly talented and doing good things for the community. Many are musicians and some fight fires and at least one is particularly spiritually aware. Let’s see what happens when they get together. 

Finally, at the beginning of May, we will have an All-Church Retreat to understand who we are now, who we want to be in the future and set goals to get there. I have been dreaming about this day for a long time now, and promise it will be fun and exciting as well as spiritual. I hope you will come and share your ideas, your opinions, and your spirit as we venture together into the future.
